The GA-P55-USB3 letdown...

Post by Ddreder » Tue Oct 12, 2010 9:54 pm

Just a little review on my POS motherboard

ok so i bought this about 3 months ago and everything was fine till i started overclocking and thats when it all went down hill. i now realize that this board is for the average consumer and not for an overclocking gamer like myself. for one it is not SLi able at all if you have two GPU's in they both run at 1x and two when i overclock above 3ghz when stress testing or just playing an intensive video game you can hear some nice capacitor squealing coming from the motherboard.. i would send it in but odds are they would test it and find nothing wrong then just send it back wasting my shipping money so the moral of the story is..

DONT CHEAP OUT ON YOUR MOTHERBOARD!
(and msi is never a bad desicion..)

if you are in the market for a motherboard make sure you look around at the various boards don't just choose one brand over another make sure it is exactly what you want and make sure a couple of companies have reviewed it first ex. hard|OP, anandtech or overclockers club ect..

READ THE REVIEWS FROM EVERYWHERE ABOUT THE SPECIFIC BOARD YOU ARE LOOKING AT! DON'T BUY A BRAND JUST BECAUSE ITS GOT A COOL NAME OR WHATEVER
